Student Ministry
Westwood Student Ministries exist to help students develop a growing
relationship with Jesus Christ as they CONNECT with God, GROW with
believers, SERVE in the church, and LIVE on mission.
Weekly Events
We believe students best accomplish these goals through two weekly
programs. One is a small group ministry, and the other is a worship
service designed specifically for Middle and High School students.
LIFE Groups are our Sunday morning small group program where
students gather for a time of large-group teaching and then break up into
small groups for encouragement, application, accountability, and prayer.
Middle School LIFE Groups meet at 9:30am at Buffalo Wild Wings. High School
LIFE groups meet at 9:30 at The Grand (Amstar) Movie theatre. Shuttles are
available to get students back and forth to the main campus.
INSIDE-OUT is the name of our ministry to
students grades 6-8 and the name of our Wednesday
night worship event for middle school students. This worship service
is designed specifically for middle school students to connect with each
other and God through games, singing, hanging out, and studying God’s
Word. INSIDE-OUT meets Wednesday nights at 6:15pm at AREA 51, our
off-campus student building.
121 is our ministry to grades 9-12 and the name of their Wednesday
worship service. Like INSIDE-OUT, it is geared specially for high
school students. 121 meets at 7:30pm on
Wednesday nights at AREA 51.
CORE groups are our Sunday night discipleship program that gives
students a chance to go deeper into God’s word in a small group
setting. Each semester these groups focus on a subject that will help
students grow in their relationship with Christ through real
accountability, personal discipline, and authentic leadership.
Annual Events
In addition to our weekly events, we have many special events throughout
the year. We usually have one major event every season.
